About
Founded in Milan in 2002
Gagarin is a movie production company wanted by Franco Bocca Gelsi to create an international co-production meeting point.
Because of the strong partnerships with both national and international professionals, Gagarin stands out thanks to its ability to give emerging authors a voice so that they can express through their work, the ambition to explain the cultural, economic and technological transformations of the contemporary world.
Particular attention is paid to the social context and the reality surrounding us, through the development of projects that may encourage film and documentary professionals to come out of the cultural isolation in which they are today, and that are able to interact with the audience on multiple levels.
Taking inspiration from the theories of the great French film critic Andrè Bazin, Gagarin believes in giving the audience films of high artistic quality and of great socio-cultural impact, that can push the spectators to become more demanding and to look at all of it with a critical eye.
